NexusCompress · UAE photo compliance checker FAQ
ICA, Emirates ID, and MOHRE portals reject photos that fail strict biometric rules. Use the free Photo Checker to test your portrait locally before you upload — nothing is sent to a server.
What the checker tests
- One face detected (no group photos)
- Face size 55–85% of frame height (including hair allowance)
- Face centred horizontally
- Eyes open and head level (tilt under 5°)
- JPEG format and portal file size limit
- Minimum dimensions and white background
- Glasses detection (approximate — ICA/Emirates ID require no glasses)
How to run a check
- Open Photo Checker on NexusCompress.
- Drop a JPEG or PNG portrait.
- Select your portal (Emirates ID / ICA, MOHRE worker, UAE visa, or MOHRE document).
- Click Check this photo and review PASS, REVIEW, or FAIL.
- If needed, open ID Photo Studio to crop to 35×45 mm and export under 200 KB.
Frequently asked questions
Will my Emirates ID photo be rejected?
Emirates ID and ICA portals reject photos that fail biometric rules. NexusCompress runs 10 automated checks — face size, centering, eyes open, head tilt, white background, file size, format, and more — entirely in your browser before you upload.
What is the file size limit for UAE portal photos?
Emirates ID, ICA, MOHRE worker photos, and UAE visa uploads typically require JPEG files under 200 KB. MOHRE document scans often allow up to 500 KB.
Does the Photo Checker upload my photo?
No. Face detection runs locally with face-api.js. Your photo never leaves your device.
